  1. Reviewed and dispersed mail.
  2. Read and accepted minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Discussed the proposed timeline for putting several pieces of foreclosed properties up for sale to the public.
  4. Reviewed and made minor changes to the Town Salt/Sand Pile Policy. Townspeople are allowed two (2) 5 gallons buckets for personal use as needed through the season.
  5. Discussed getting property cards on a backup device. This would allow each selectman to have a copy with them at home. They can also be put on the town’s web site.

  1. Reviewed and dispersed mail.
  2. Read and accepted minutes from previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #5 - $79,121.71
  4. Selectmen discussed a complaint that has been filed in the Superior Court – Jonathan Lawless, et.al. vs. Town of Vienna. They are asking that the Cell Tower set-back waiver (which was approved by the Vienna Board of Appeals) be overturned. Attorney Stephen Langsdorf of Preti-Flaherty will handle the case for the Town.
  5. Selectmen reviewed the bank reconciliation report.
  6. Selectmen will meet at the Town House at 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 5th to label and sort the Town Reports for mailing.

  3. Selectmen discussed the pending court case. Dodi reported on a consultation with Atty. Langsdorf.
  4. Discussed the upcoming Town Meeting on Saturday.

  1. Floyds turned in an application putting a portion of their property permanently in Open Space Land.
  2. Reviewed and dispersed mail.
  3. Read and accepted minutes.
  4. Selectmen discussed and researched a complaint brought to the attention of the board. A resident had concerns that a selectman doing any work for the road commissioner was “a conflict of interest”. According to the MMA Selectmen’s Manual, “the Maine common law doctrine of incompatibility is limited to public “offices” for which one is sworn or takes an oath – it does not extend to employment positions.”
  5. Reviewed the Bank Reconciliation report.
  6. Selectmen will soon be requesting proposals for a 3 year contract to Plow and Salt/Sand Roads in the Town of Vienna.
  7. Selectmen voted Dodi Thompson as Chairman of the Board.

  1. Reviewed and dispersed mail: read and accepted minutes.
  2. Discussed the Varney Road. Report of a logger twitching wood out and onto the road. The Road commissioner was notified of the issue and requested to make contact with both logging operations.
  3. Selectmen worked on the letter being sent to land owners whose property has reached foreclosure status. The Selectmen will be sending the letter giving them a last chance to pay in full within 30 days. The unpaid foreclosed properties will be put out for bid in early June.
  4. Selectmen discussed lawn care and cemetery maintenance with Luke Olson, the current contractor responsible for the mowing. Selectmen will soon be going out to bid for the 2015 and 2016 mowing seasons.
