  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. The selectmen and Dodi worked on the 2020 Mill Rate and worked on the HomeStead Exemption form.
  4. Mr. McCarthy expressed concerns over people speeding past his home on Route 41 (just outside the village) in Vienna. The selectmen advised him to contact the Sheriff's Department and the State Police on this matter. Mr. McCarthy also expressed concerns over the wearing of face masks at the selectmen meetings. The selectmen directed Mr. McCarthy to the sign, located on the entrance, requesting anyone entering the Town House to wear a mask.
  5. A citizen expressed concern over a covered dead end sign on the Cumner Road. The sign is going to be moved closer to the beginning of the road making it more visible.
  6. Ed Lawless updated the selectmen on the broadband committee's progress. Joe Young, Chairperson for the Broadband Committee, will attend a future meeting to further update the selectmen on the process and to explain the next step(s).

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #12 ($15, 206.94).
  4. Mr. Young updated the selectboard on the Broadband process and informed them of the next steps.
  5. Mr. McCarthy talked with the selectmen about people speeding on Route 41, how business is being conducted in Mt.Vernon at the Flying Pond Variety Store, and talked about people wearing masks during public meetings in Vienna. The select board continues to look into these matters.
  6. Mr. Williams expressed interest in cutting wood from town owned property referred to as the “Old Dump”.The selectboard has been advised the cutting of trees on town owned property would need to go out to bid. The selectboard will look further into this option of raising money for the town.
  7. The selectmen will meet on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 6:30p.m. to set the mill rate.

The selectboard finalized the mill rate for 2020.The mill rate for 2020 will be .1915 with an overlay of $17,136.10.This will keep the mill rate as it has been for the last two years.

  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. The selectmen worked on updating property cards.
  4. Discussed the concern a citizen has over people speeding in town.
  5. Discussed the garage proposal for the fire station.
  6. Inland Fisheries and Wildlife have inquired about improving the boat ramp at the Parker Pond boat landing. The selectmen will look further into this.

  1. Reviewed and dispersed the mail.
  2. The selectmen read and accepted the minutes from the previous meeting.
  3. Reviewed and signed Warrant #13 ($17,653.04).
  4. The selectboard met with Diane Circo, Chief Planner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and Wes Ashe, Fisheries Biologist for the State of Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, at the Parker Pond boat ramp prior to the selectboard meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to look at the current boat ramp and parking area in order to come up with a plan on how to improve both the ramp and parking.
  5. The Klir Beck Road dumpster is going to be re-set a little further away from the mail boxes, however, it will not be back to the Vienna shore.
  6. The Road Commissioner is looking into ditching and water issues on the Mountain Road.
  7. The selectmen looked at the assessment on a property, re-evaluated it, and wrote an abatement.
