30 Mile Watershed Association

Vienna's lakes: Flying Pond, Parker Pond and Kimball Pond rank high on the list of our greatest assets. They contribute to the beauty of our community, provide for year-round recreational opportunities, and account for a large part of our tax base. They are a natural treasure that cannot be taken for granted.  Environmental pressures, most notably the threat of invasive plants such as Variable Milfoil, prompted the formation of The 30 Mile River Watershed Association in 2008. It is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, improve and protect the land and water quality of our lakes and others in the watershed.

Jim Anderberg is Vienna's representative to the Board of Directors. The Board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Fayette Community School. Meetings are open to the public.
